How to book services at Foundry Sea to Sky!

Counselling, Youth Peer Support, Primary Care and Youth Outreach walk-in services are now available to access on the Foundry BC app! To access all other services, please visit the centre or call 604-567-9347.

The Foundry BC Platform will allow youth and families to do the following:

  • Book appointments with your Foundry Sea to Sky service providers.  
  • Access your local Foundry centre’s virtual appointments from your Smart Phone or Computer.  
  • Easily find locations of in-person appointments and complete surveys before your appointment to save time.  
  • Only tell your story one time by writing and sharing a story through our “My Story” Feature.  
  • Receive reminders about upcoming appointments.
  • Cancel appointments through the click of a button without needing to call or email.
  • Receive messages from your service providers through inbox – a platform accessed on the Foundry BC app that allows you to safely and securely interact with your service provider.   

Important Centre Information

As of October 3rd, 2023, medical masks are now required to be worn in all Foundry centres for health care workers, visitors, contractors and volunteers in patient care areas in health care facilities, programs and services. A patient care area is any area in a health care facility that is accessible to patients, residents and clients that are accessing care.
This includes:
  • Contracted health care facilities
  • Home and community care locations
  • Hallways
  • Lobbies

Who We Are

Foundry Sea to Sky welcomes you! We offer free, confidential, and non-judgemental health, social, and recreational services for youth ages 12-24 and their families. Foundry’s unique approach to integrated health and social services provides young people and their families with a safe, welcoming space where they can feel comfortable asking for help and know that they can access the services they need – all under one roof!

Foundry Sea to Sky Services 

Operated by Sea to Sky Community Services (SSCS), Foundry Sea to Sky provides mental health and substance use supports, youth and caregiver counselling, youth peer support, youth outreach, wellness programs, such as Elders in Support, and social and recreational drop in programming through the Youth Hub. The Sea to Sky Foundry is the perfect complement to the more than 40 programs and services SSCS offers. Working alongside youth in community, SSCS is developing programs and supports that will help young people thrive in Squamish.

Walk-in support is open to all youth 12 to 24 years old. Youth will have access to peer support, social services, mental health and substance use counselling. Support is free, confidential, and ensures that youth accessing supports are provided with welcoming, inclusive, and accessible service. No appointment or referral is needed, support is first come first serve basis.

WALK-IN COUNSELLING

Walk-in counselling is provided by skilled and experienced Master’s level clinicians who bring their passion for working with youth and young adults.

WALK-IN PEER SUPPORT

Walk-in peer support is provided by trained youth peer supporters who “get-it”. They use their lived and living experience to provide support to all youth in the community. Peer supporters greet young people and introduce them to Foundry services at the Centre, they are also available through the walk-in to support youth one on one.

Walk-in support is also provided by Youth Outreach Workers who are knowledgeable about community resources who can help navigate systems and referrals, as well as provide direct support with social needs such as accessing food, housing support, and more.

About the Space

Located on the main floor of the Spirit Creek affordable housing complex (38686 Buckley Avenue), the Foundry space provides 5,000 square feet of clinical and programming space and is co-located with the Youth Hub. Funded by the District of Squamish and operated by Sea to Sky Community Services, the programs and services at the Youth Hub are offered to young people ages 12-24. Programs range from a drop-in space Thursdays and Fridays from 3-7pm, activities, and engagement with youth in the community. Amenities in the Youth Hub include: a pool table, video games, snacks, and comfortable spaces to connect, do homework, play games or get crafty with available art supplies.

Get Involved

  • Volunteer – become enrolled as a volunteer at Sea to Sky Community Services. Contact Caitlin Anderson for more information: caitlin.anderson@sscs.ca
  • Participate in an advisory committee. These committees are a minimum 1 year commitment with a 4-5 hour monthly time commitment. These roles also receive an honorarium. Keep up to date on our social media or newsletter for when we open applications. 2022 is the next anticipated open call for applicants.
