On November 21st, 2023, the Foundry Work & Education Program was nominated for a 2023 Premier’s Innovation and Excellence Awards.

This annual celebration highlights noteworthy examples of what the BC Public Service has to offer. The program was nominated under the ‘Evidence-Based Design’ category which recognizes organizations in BC whose work is outstanding in the area of evidence-based program development, and the process by which the program was designed.

We are so honoured to be part of the organizations nominated in this category!

The Foundry Work & Education Program supports youth to identify and work towards meaningful employment, education and training opportunities through an evidence-based Individualized Placement Support (IPS) model. The IPS model uses an integrated approach which allows individuals with complex health needs to access high-quality health care and social supports in one place, by one team.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to staff across Foundry centres who are creating real impact and have been instrumental in changing the trajectory of individuals across BC who are experiencing barriers to employment and education services.
