B.C. communities can now apply for a new Foundry Centre
Starting today, September 6, 2023, Foundry will be accepting applications from communities around the province who are looking to build a Foundry centre in their local community, catchment area or region.
All non-profit, health and social system organizations and agencies serving youth, including First Nations, Métis, and Urban Indigenous service-providers, are eligible and encouraged to submit an application.
For communities interested in applying today, visit foundrybc.ca/expansion. Applications are due on Oct 27, 2023.
Children and youth have faced unprecedented challenges over the past few years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, toxic-drug crisis and climate-related emergencies. That’s why the Province is investing $74.9 million through Budget 2023 to open 12 more Foundry centres in B.C., for a total of 35 Foundry centres throughout the province. In July 2023, we announced Vernon and qathet (Pxwell River) will be joining the Foundry network.
