Foundry is a province-wide network of integrated health and wellness services for young people ages 12–24 and their families. We bring together multiple services together in one place — in person at Foundry centres and virtually through the Foundry BC app — to make it easier for youth to access care, connection and support.

At Foundry, you’ll work alongside passionate professionals from across disciplines — mental health, substance use, physical and sexual health, peer support, and work, education & community — all working towards the shared goal of supporting young people and their families to get access to the services they need, when they need it.

Foundry Centres
All Foundry centres are operated by local non-profits and health authorities in communities across BC. Staff working at Foundry centres are employed or contracted by those nonprofits or health authorities, or of their local partner agencies.

Foundry Burnaby will be operated by BC Centre for Ability (BCCFA). BCCFA serves as a perfect complimentary piece to the Foundry model of care, given its work with clients with a variety of developmental and physical disabilities. ESSS is a grassroots, non-profit agency that provides a wide range of enriching and essential programs and support services to the communities of Langley. We offer a variety of free, accessible community programs and activities for all ages with a primary focus on children, youth, and families.
Family Physician
Reporting to the Foundry Langley Medical Director the Family Physician, along with the primary care team, provides episodic, enhanced and longitudinal services. They must be able, or willing to train, to support gender-affirming care, opioid agonist therapy and contraceptive support. Interventions may be provided on a 1:1 basis, to families, on outreach and to group. Flexibility in hours and availability outside of typical office hours will be required to support drop-in hours and potential outreach.
Nurse Practitioner
Reporting to the Medical Director and Clinical Manager and working closely within the integrated team, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible and accountable for the comprehensive assessment of clients ages 12-23 including diagnosing diseases, disorders and conditions. The Nurse Practitioner initiates treatment including health care management, therapeutic interventions and prescribes medications in accordance with the statutory and regulatory standards, limited and conditions, policy, and guidelines. The Nurse Practitioner provides professional guidance to other health professionals and practices autonomously and interdependently within the context of an interdisciplinary team at Foundry Langley; making referrals to specialist physicians, mental health clinicians, public health, and other as appropriate.

Student Practicums & Internship Inquiries
We currently have direct relationship and practicum planning with some specific UNBC programs. Due to limitations on the size of our space we’re not able to host extra practicum students at this time. There may be practicum options (up to Bachelors level) available in other areas within YBC, including at Simon Fraser Lodge, YAP, Alternative Suspension, or other Community Health programs. If you are interested in those potential options, please send you resume, and a cover letter expressing your interest to carmen.demenech@bc.ymca.ca, where it will be forwarded along to other YBC Managers for consideration. Foundry Terrace is part of Foundry’s province-wide network of youth-friendly health and wellness centres. Foundry provides integrated, accessible services to young people aged 12–24 and their caregivers across BC, with a focus on mental health, substance use, primary care, sexual health, youth and family peer support, and social services. Foundry Terrace operates as a safe, inclusive space for all young people, including Indigenous, POC, LGBTQ+, and Trans youth.

Foundry Medical Office Assistant
Foundry Terrace is not a typical healthcare site, and this is not your typical MOA position. The Foundry MOA is a dynamic, personable individual who performs medical office assistant duties in addition to other support functions for a multi-disciplinary team. This individual is the face of Foundry in Terrace and the first to greet youth, in a space where young people come to connect with peers, explore creative expression, learn together, and eat together in addition to accessing formal medical, mental health and social services.
Employment Support Assistant
The Foundry Terrace Employment and Education Support Worker works within a multi-disciplinary team, alongside an Employment and Education Specialist, in meeting the needs of youth participants in all aspects of employment, education, and career planning. This person also builds and maintains connections with local employers and educational institutions and promotes Foundry services in the community.
Foundry Tri-Cities aims to work closely with local health authorities and community service providers to deliver integrated services under one roof for youth and young people 12-24 and their families. As Lead Agency, SHARE Family & Community Services, will work with partners to determine services and supports in the areas of mental health, substance use, physical & sexual health care, social services, and peer support!
