What can I expect when accessing Foundry Virtual BC?

You can access free virtual services through the Foundry BC app or on the Foundry BC platform from anywhere in British Columbia.

The services in the Foundry BC app are separate from the services at Foundry centres. You can choose whichever works best for you.

When you download the Foundry BC app or go to the Foundry BC platform, you can register for a youth account or a caregiver account.

You’ll be asked to answer some questions so staff can better support you. All questions are optional. There’s no judgment — Foundry staff are here to listen and help.

Once your account is set up, you can access same-day services, schedule an appointment for another day or sign up for a group. If you’re not sure what you need, you can book a navigation appointment with a peer support worker who can explain the mental health and wellness services Foundry offers.

What to Expect: Youth

If you’re a youth, you might meet with a counsellor, a doctor or nurse, a youth peer support worker or a work and education specialist. You could find a mindfulness group or a social activity like Dungeons & Dragons.

What to Expect: Family/Caregiver

If you’re a family member, you might meet with a counsellor or a family peer supporter. You could find a support group or a workshop on a topic like communication skills or overdose prevention.

Everyone at Foundry works as a team to provide the right services at the right time, based on your goals. They might also support you with accessing other services in your community.

You can connect the way you’re comfortable. For your appointment, you can choose audio, video, chat or a phone call. It’s ok to try different options.

All Foundry services are free and confidential.

How to access Foundry’s free virtual services

Get Started with Foundry Virtual BC

Foundry Virtual BC offers free mental health and wellness services for young people aged 12-24 and their caregivers, anywhere across BC. This is a short video that will walk young people through step-by-step instructions as to how to download the Foundry BC app and register for free & confidential virtual services. We encourage service providers to share this video with young people in their care and support them with setting up an account.
