Welcome to Foundry Burns Lake!

Foundry Burns Lake is a safe, friendly, and non-judgmental place where young people and their families can access the help they need to support them in living good lives.  Our services are always free and confidential.

Foundry Burns Lake is hosted by Carrier Sekani Family Services. At Foundry centres, multiple service providers and organizations work together to provide a variety of services to youth ages 12-24 and their families.

Foundry Mental Health Therapist

Full Time

 

The Foundry Mental Health Therapist provides intake, assessment, treatment and crisis intervention to youth and families/caregivers attending Foundry. The Mental Health Therapist will develop and implement treatment plans for youth with mental health and substance use issues, within Foundry’s Integrated Stepped Care Model and on a walk-in basis. They will establish supportive and trusting relationships that promote mental health and wellness and reduce client risk.

 

Family Nurse Practitioner

Full Time

 

The Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for direct patient care at rural and remote health centers, via telehealth, in the patient’s home and other locations as determined by the practitioner/patient. The NP supports the primary care team’s delivery of health promotion programs to individuals and groups in a variety of settings in the rural and/or remote area. The NP will deliver programs and services using a holistic model of care and practice in a culturally respectful and safe manner.

Youth Peer Support Supervisor

Full Time

 

The Foundry Peer Support Supervisor oversees and coordinates the Youth and Family Peer Support programs at Foundry Burns Lake. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, youth- and family-informed peer support services, promotes integration with other Foundry services, and supports continuous quality improvement. The Supervisor collaborates with the Foundry Program Manager and Foundry Central Office to implement programs, lead daily operations, and contribute to research and evaluation initiatives.

Youth Peer Support Worker

Full Time

 

The Foundry Youth Peer Support (YPS) Worker is a vital member of the Foundry centre team, providing peer-based emotional support, mentorship, and service navigation to youth and young adults. Drawing on their own lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges, the YPS Worker helps youth enhance their wellness, access resources, and engage with Foundry and community services. They foster hope and recovery through one-on-one and group support, outreach, and advocacy, while promoting a safe, inclusive, and youth-friendly environment.

Medical Office Assistant

Full Time

 

  • Maintain/update records in the MOIS system complying with privacy laws for confidential medical information.
  • Maintain communications and liaise with CSFS member communities, offices and health center staff.
  • Schedule patient appointments and assist the primary care team and professional staff in managing face to face, telehealth schedules and client activity.
