About Us
Who We Are
Foundry’s vision is to transform access to services for young people ages 12–24 in BC.
Our mission is to support young people in living a good life.
Foundry offers free and confidential mental health and wellness services for youth ages 12-24 in British Columbia and their families. No referrals are needed.
Foundry is a province-wide network of integrated health and wellness services for young people ages 12–24 and their families. We bring together multiple services together in one place — in person at Foundry centres and virtually through the Foundry BC app — to make it easier for youth to access care, connection and support.
Our Values
Our values are the cornerstones that guide us in the workplace and in our communities. As we learn and develop as a team and as individuals, we are all working towards living these values:
- Learn & Evolve
- Appreciate Individuality
- Celebrate Community
- Share the Load
- Committed to Youth
- Embrace Nuance
Our Structure
Foundry Central Office (FCO) is the backbone organization that supports centres to open and to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services. FCO provides a provincial lens across all Foundry centres and delivers capacity-building support in a range of areas including communications, practice and training, knowledge exchange and more. Foundry is a program of Providence Health Care, with Foundry central office all Providence Health Care staff.
Foundry centres are operated by lead agencies; local non-profits and health authorities in communities across BC. Foundry’s lead agencies play a crucial leadership role in Foundry centre communities.
Creating health and wellness resources for youth and families
Foundrybc.ca’s health literacy content is developed by our partners at BC Children’s Hospital’s Health Promotion and Health Literacy team, in collaboration with youth, clinical experts, Foundry staff and our community partners. All content is reviewed and updated on a regular basis to ensure information relevant, accurate and up-to-date. If you would like more information about our process for developing or reviewing content, or have feedback you would like to provide to us about our site, please fill out this form.
Foundrybc.ca integrates resources and tools from the former youth mental health website, mindcheck.ca, which transitioned to foundrybc.ca in 2018. We would like to acknowledge Fraser Health’s role as the originator and lead developer of the early intervention framework and associated content on mindcheck.ca.
