Land Acknowledgement
Foundry Kamloops acknowledges, with much gratitude, that we are located only blocks from the meeting of the rivers on ancestral, and unceded Tk’emlúps territory of the Secwepemcúl’ecw (Secwépemc) people. This territory is home to many diverse First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples. Our commitment goes beyond this land acknowledgement; it is a vital step toward reconciliation, honouring Indigenous heritage and the land’s history that stretches back to time immemorial. Foundry Kamloops is dedicated to offering culturally sensitive services to the community.
Foundry Kamloops will support the health and wellness needs of youth and their families in Kamloops and the surrounding areas. Our services will be free and confidential.
Foundry Kamloops will be operated by Interior Community Services (ICS). At Foundry centres, multiple service providers and organizations work together to provide a variety of services to youth ages 12-24 and their families.
ICS has been in Kamloops since 1967 and is committed to the Mission of Enriching Lives Strengthening Communities, and the Vision of People of all abilities live to their potential with dignity, choice and opportunity.
