Services by Age Group

 

These are general resources are available for people of all ages. These resources include 24/7 crisis lines, online courses you can do yourself, and services you can use when experiencing violence or abuse.

Kids Help Phone

Kids Help Phone (1-800-668-6868) has toll-free, 24-hour phone, counselling and referral service for young people aged 5-25. You can also connect by texting CONNECT to 686868, and chat confidentially with a trained, volunteer Crisis Responder for support with any issue. If you would like to stop the conversation text STOP. 

 

Phonetext message and messaging over Facebook Messenger are available 24/7 so you can connect whenever and however you want. It’s safe, private and non-judgmental.

BounceBack Program

If you’re 15 or older and struggling with mild to moderate depression, stress or anxiety, BounceBack® can help. It’s free, confidential, and can be accessed from anywhere. Coaching is available in English, French, Mandarin, Cantonese or Punjabi.

 

BounceBack® is offered by the Canadian Mental Health Association, BC Division and funded by the Provincial Health Services Authority.

VictimLinkBC

VictimLinkBC is a toll-free, confidential, telephone service 24/7 across B.C. It provides information and referral services to all victims of crime and immediate crisis support to victims of family and sexual violence, including victims of human trafficking exploited for labour or sexual services. VictimLinkBC provides service in more than 130 languages, including 17 North American Aboriginal languages.

HelpStartsHere.gov.bc.ca is a website operated by the Ministry of Mental Health to help connect people in B.C. with mental health and substance use information and resources. Visit their website for a comprehensive list of publicly funded mental health and substance use supports across B.C.
