Welcome to Foundry Terrace!

Foundry Terrace is here to support the health and wellness needs of youth and their families. All Foundry services are free and confidential.

Foundry Terrace is operated by Terrace District Community Services Society (TDCSS). At Foundry centres, multiple service providers and organizations work together to provide a variety of services to youth ages 12-24 and their families.

Foundry Terrace operates as a safe, inclusive space for all young people, including Indigenous, POC, LGBTQ+, and Trans youth.

Learn more about Foundry Services

Foundry Terrace offers physical health services, including full primary care such as assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of ongoing conditions and medication management.

Sexual health services available include STI screening and treatment, birth control counselling and prescriptions, harm reduction services, and abortion referrals.

We also offer gender-affirming care, including readiness assessments, hormone therapy, and referrals when appropriate.

Foundry Terrace’s Primary Care Practitioners provide substance use services, including assessment, diagnosis, and medication management, along with harm reduction supports and treatment referrals.

Foundry Terrace’s Mental Health Team, including a Clinical Lead and Drop-in Counsellor, provide evidence-based counselling services, such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). These are offered through both scheduled sessions and drop-in.

Foundry Terrace’s Primary Care Providers offer mental health primary care services, such as assessment, diagnosis of common mental health conditions, and medication management of common mental health conditions. Referrals are available to Foundry Virtual BC Psychiatry shared care program and external services if deemed appropriate.

Youth substance use counselling services can be accessed through referral, scheduled appointments, or walk-in.

Youth Peer Support Workers are young people that bring their own experience with navigating the health and wellness systems within our community. Serving as role models, they offer hope and encouragement by sharing their own journeys.

A peer support worker can help you feel seen, heard and less alone by offering support, hope, mentorship and resources. They can explain the services Foundry offers and support you with choosing what works best for you. They also co-facilitate wellness groups and educational sessions.

Foundry Terrace’s Cultural Wellness Worker walks alongside young people to nurture their health and wellness through relationships, cultural connections, and community belonging. Guided by cultural ways of knowing and being, this role recognizes that youth thrive when they are held in circles of care that honour their spirit, identity, and connection to land and people.

Foundry Terrace collaborates with various community supports, including the Garage Community Space, Coast Mountain School District 82 and the Terrace Church Food Bank, and supports the planning and delivery of local events such as International Youth Day and International Overdose Awareness Day.

The Foundry Work and Education Program (FW&E) is a supported employment and education program for youth who are interested in working, going to school, or completing a training program. FW&E helps youth to build the skills and experiences they need to achieve their goals.

Participation is flexible and tailored to each individual’s goals, with no fixed time commitment.

Foundry Terrace has on-site parking for visitors.

We are also accessible by bus.

Wheelchair Accessibility

Foundry Terrace is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp and automatic doors for easy entry. The gender-neutral washroom is also fully accessible, and all rooms and counters are designed to be barrier-free. Please note that the exam beds are not currently accessible.

Other Accessibility

We’re committed to creating a welcoming space for everyone. A gender-neutral washroom is available, and we offer a variety of gluten-, dairy-, and peanut-free snacks so everyone can enjoy a treat. There’s also cozy low-stim sensory areas with fidget toys for anyone who needs a calm spot to recharge.

On our intake forms, youth are invited to share their chosen name and pronouns so we can make sure everyone feels seen and respected.

Foundry Terrace does not have access to translation services at this time.

Exciting news!

Foundry Terrace is moving next door into a brand-new building in spring 2026!

We’re creating a 7,500-square-foot, purpose-built space just for Foundry, with four floors of affordable rental housing for seniors above. BC Housing is leading the funding for the seniors’ housing, while TDCSS is heading up the Foundry space.

Our new centre will include a recreation space, medical assessment rooms, a kitchen, a shower, and flexible programming areas—all designed to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for young people.

Most importantly, this new space is being designed in collaboration with youth and families to ensure it truly meets the needs of our community.
