Foundry Ridge Meadows is here to support the health and wellness needs of youth and their families. All Foundry services are free and confidential.

Foundry Ridge Meadows is operated by Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Community Services. At Foundry centres, multiple service providers and organizations work together to provide a variety of services to youth ages 12-24 and their families.

Foundry makes it easy for young people and their families to find care, connection and support. This is a safe and informative place for youth to seek help with tough topics.

Options for Sexual Health provides many services at Foundry Ridge Meadows including STI testing, low-cost birth control, and more.

Drop-in from 4PM-6PM Tuesday and Thursday.

Our drop-in counselling services are for youth ages 12-24 and/or their caregivers. We’re here to support you with whatever is on your mind today, one session at a time.

A counsellor can be a source of support in difficult times. You can talk to them about life, relationships, mental health, school, your questions about substance use or anything that’s on your mind.

A counsellor can help you see your own strengths and figure out your goals, while honouring your values, beliefs and identity.

If the service you need isn’t available at Foundry, our team is here to help you find the right support.

Our Peer Support Workers draw on both their training and personal experience to help you navigate services and reach your goals. Foundry Ridge Meadows offers Peer Support to both youth and their family/caregivers.

Life comes with challenges, but mental health is also about staying active, connecting with others, and feeling comfortable in your own skin. Our wellness groups, led by Peer Support Workers, run throughout the week and provide a supportive space to learn, share, and grow. Young people are encouraged to contribute their ideas and feedback to help shape future groups.

Foundry Work & Education (FW&E) is our supported work, study and life skills program. FW&E helps youth build practical life skills, get job-ready, find employment, continue their secondary or post-secondary education, and discover meaningful volunteer opportunities, with flexible one-to-one and group support offered in person and online by our team.

This program is open to BC youth ages 15-24 who want to work, attend school, or volunteer, particularly those who identify with mild to moderate mental health struggles or substance use disorders. Participants must not be actively working with another employment program and must either be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, new immigrant, or on a working visa.

Support to keep work or studies on track
Drop-in hours Wednesday and Thursday 3–5
In-person workshops on resumes, interviews, workplace wellness, and student success
Access to computers, printers, phones, and Wi-Fi, plus help with ID, work clothing, transportation, and health care access

Youth Peer Support Worker

Youth Action Committee

Our Youth Action Committee meets once a month and work towards bridging any gaps for services in the centre and community.

In 2016, the Ridge Meadows Youth Wellness Centre pilot project was initiated as part of a broader effort to enhance youth mental health and substance use services in the region. This initiative was part of the City of Maple Ridge’s Youth Strategy, which aimed to create a youth-friendly and youth-engaged community. The strategy emphasized the importance of providing accessible and coordinated services to support the well-being of young people in the area Maple Ridge, BC.

The Ridge Meadows Youth Wellness Centre served as a foundational model for the services offered at Foundry Ridge Meadows. It provided a range of supports for children and youth facing substance use and/or mental health challenges, as well as their parents. The centre’s approach was designed to be safe, informative, and accessible, aligning with the goals of the broader youth wellness strategy in the community Divisions BC.

In March 2020, the Ridge Meadows Youth Wellness Centre was officially transformed into Foundry Ridge Meadows, becoming part of the provincial Foundry network. This transition allowed for the expansion and integration of services, providing young people aged 12–24 with a comprehensive range of supports including, Mental Health, Substance Use Health, Physical and Sexual Health, Peer Support, and Work, Education and Community Services.
