Foundry Port Hardy
Land Acknowledgement
Foundry Port Hardy humbly acknowledges that we operate on the traditional, unceded territory of the Kwakiutl, alongside many Kwakwaka’wakw Peoples. Foundry Port Hardy’s practice is rooted in ‘maya’xala and seeks to provide culturally sensitive services to the Kwakwaka’wakw families of our region. Gilakas’la.
Welcome to Foundry Port Hardy!
Foundry Port Hardy is here to support the health and wellness needs of youth and their families in our rural North Island area. All Foundry services are free and confidential.
Foundry Port Hardy is operated by North Island Crisis & Counselling Centre Society (NICCCS). At Foundry centres, multiple service providers and organizations work together to provide a variety of services to youth ages 12-24 and their families/caregivers. Our centre serves the area that encompasses Port Hardy, Port McNeill, Alert Bay, Sointula, Port Alice and all neighbouring First Nations Communities.
Foundry Port Hardy is part of Foundry’s network of centres across BC. Want to learn more?
Get Involved
Foundry centres are created for young people, by young people! We are currently recruiting for our Youth & Family Advisory Committee (YFAC), which will:
- Help inform and create the decision-making process for the centre
- Inform the physical aspects of the centre, services available, etc.
YFAC is an integral part of the team and help shape youth services in Port Hardy.
To learn more and get involved, contact Hannah by email at hannahp@nicccs.org or call 250-902-0055.
