We would like to acknowledge that Foundry East Kootenay is within ʔamakʔis Ktunaxa, the homeland of the Ktunaxa people.

Welcome to Foundry East Kootenay!

Foundry East Kootenay is here to support the health and wellness needs of youth and their families in Cranbrook, Fernie, Creston, Invermere, Golden and surrounding areas. All Foundry services are free and confidential.

Foundry East Kootenay is hosted by Ktunaxa Kinbasket Child and Family Services Society. At Foundry centres, multiple service providers and organizations work together to provide a variety of services to youth ages 12-24 and their families.

We provide most of our services out of our centre in Cranbrook, BC, and are currently offering weekly virtual family physician services virtually to youth in the greater East Kootenay region.

Foundry East Kootenay is part of Foundry’s network of centres across BC. Want to learn more?

Our Space

The idea for Foundry East Kootenay came to be after the loss of several young people in the community. There was a recognition amongst parents, caregivers, providers and youth that enough was enough – youth deserved access to wrap-around supports in a way that prioritized their needs. Foundry East Kootenay was the first Indigenous-led Foundry in the network and one of the first ‘built from scratch’ centres in the province – Indigenous and youth values are the key to our work and guide everything we do.
