Get Support at Foundry
Foundry offers free and confidential mental health and wellness services for youth ages 12-24 in British Columbia and their families. You don’t need a referral.
Foundry is for you if you’re wondering:
- Can I get free counselling?
- Does Foundry have harm reduction supplies?
- Can I get STI tests?
- Can Foundry help me find a job or training program?
- Can I talk to someone about substance use?
- Can I see a doctor?
- Can a parent or other family member get help with supporting a young person?
Foundry has locations all around BC (35 centres open or in development). You can access our free virtual services on the Foundry BC app (or on the Foundry BC platform).

Talk to a counsellor about life, relationships, mental health or substance use. Drop in or make an appointment.
You can get free counselling at Foundry by dropping in or making an appointment. A counsellor can be a source of support in difficult times. You can talk to them about life, relationships, mental health, school, your questions about substance use or anything that’s on your mind. A counsellor can help you see your own strengths and figure out your goals, while honouring your values, beliefs and identity. You can see a counsellor once or come back multiple times.

See a doctor or nurse about health conditions, illness, injury, prescriptions or sexual health.
You can see a doctor or nurse at Foundry for health conditions, illness, injury, prescriptions or sexual health. They can support with STI testing and treatment, birth control, wellness counselling and accessing more specialized care such as gender care.

Get support from a youth with lived experience.
You can talk to another young person who has personal experience with mental health, substance use or other life challenges and is trained in how to support you. A peer support worker can help you feel seen, heard and less alone by offering support, hope, mentorship and resources. They can explain the services Foundry offers and support you with choosing what works best for you.
Join a workshop or group

Participate in a recreational or social activity or learn new skills in a supportive group.
You can try out Foundry by participating in recreation, creative, social or cultural activities. You can join an art class, a mindfulness workshop, a Dungeons & Dragons night or a social group for young people who identify as queer or questioning. Workshops and groups offer supportive and inclusive spaces to explore your interests.

Meet with an employment specialist who can support you with finding a job, going to school or completing a training program.
The Foundry Work & Education Program (FWEP) offers personalized one-on-one support to explore, discover and pursue your work and education goals. You can learn about things like resumes, interviewing and managing stress – whatever your goals are, they’ll guide you every step of the way.
Who can join? Any youth in BC interested in working, attending school, or starting a training program who are between the ages of 15-24; experiencing barriers to work, school, or training; not already working, in a school/training program; or in less than 15hrs/a week; and legally entitled to work in BC.
